Many travelers opt to join a group or welcome other travelers into their group as a way of splitting the costs of hiring a guide and driver. For those looking for a group, we recommend posting on our Looking for Travel Companions blog page, in addition to posting on online travel forums like the Lonely Planet Thorntree Forum.

Groups tend to come together about a month to a few weeks before the trip starts. If you contact us early on looking for a group, check back with us about a month before your departure date to see if we have any groups forming.

We can add travelers to a group as long as there is time to process the permits.
