December 5th, 2014 – Xining
Xining, the capital city of Qinghai Province on the northeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, launched its first regular direct international air route on Friday, connecting Xining with Bangkok, Thailand.
Operated by China Eastern Airlines, the flight takes about 3 hours and 40 minutes and currently departs every Friday.
According to Qinghai provincial officials, another international route will be inaugurated on December 15th, linking Xining with Seoul, Republic of Korea.
