Last night at 01:15 am a strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.4 has struck between Dola (Qilian county) and Gyado (Men Yuan County) in Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Amdo, Qinghai province. It’s about 120 km away from Xining. Our friends and families who live in Xining felt strong shaking, everyone ran out on the streets. It’s minus 18 degrees in Xining at night and people wraped up by blankets to keep warm. Luckily no damages or casualties heard so far. Hope all is safe.
