Every July and August, constant heavy rains cause flood and landslides in many places in Sichuan. it is much more severe this year, there have been rain continuously for almost 10 days, it caused rivers rising up, flooded towns, landslides.etc. nature disasters.
Yading National Park
Many of the Sichuan’s famous tourists destinations are located in deep valley and mountains in the southwest of Sichuan Province. Due to the flood and big landslides, one of China’s top tourists destination – Jiuzhaigou Nature Park and Yading Natural Park are closed for tourists. This closer even extend to the Giant Leshan Buddha, Wolong Panda Reserve and Danba villages. The reopening of these tourist destinations is still unknown.

Qinghai Province as became one of China’s top destinations during the pandemic, has neither effected by the rain nor by the pandemic. So Qinghai is safest place to travel in 2020 and 2021.

Gansu province, most of Gansu province are not effected by heavy rain. The famous tourists sites such as Zhangye Danxia Park, Dunhuang, Labrang are all open to tourists.
Yunnan Province, some places in Shangri-la and Diqin county are effected temporarily due to landslides, but there are reopened again now.
